Ahhh...who better than the Swedes to mix pre-teen angst, bullying, and vampires all in one film so beautifully. I have to agree with an earlier post by Anita - if you can get past the blood and gore, there is quite a beautiful love story here. I wasn't sure where the movie was going to go, but that is what I liked about it - it kept me on edge. As I am not much of a blood & gore person, it took me quite a while to warm up to this movie, but after the first half, I got used to it. I particularly like how the bullies are handled - karma can be a real bitch. Rather original for a vampire movie.

I kept my eyes closed - nota fan of the bloody scary movies.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was a pretty good film as well
ReplyDeleteI do not like vampire movies but this one kept me watching! Andrea, I was also able to warm up to the movie after the first half was over. The story of bulling which knows know boundries of culture or language was well integrated to the vampire plot. I liked it.
