A village is under attack and a Prince defends his village but is left with a deadly curse. An elder in the village with special powers tells him where he can find a cure. The Price must travel over many lands to get to his destination. In the forest he meets a city of former prostitutes who fend for themselves. He also meets Princess Mononoke who is human but was raised by wolves. There is a battle in the forest because outsiders are trying to tear down the forest which is where the wolves and the villagers live.
