This is part of the Criterion Collection. Onibaba is Japanese (1964) Black and White. Director Kaneto Shindo's. As far as my out of class viewing this was my favorite. I was sucked in as soon as the movie started. I didn’t even mind the movie was in Japanese or in black or white. It is a about a guy that makes it back home from battle. He has tells to his friends mom and wife that their loved one has passed. The guy and the widow begin a love affair that the mother in law does not want. She starts to secretly torment her daughter in law. The end is great a must see movie.
